Start with inputs (photos) that show what matters
Most “wrong results” come from missing details. When you take a photo for identification, aim for:
- Sharp focus: tap-to-focus on the subject (not the background).
- Good light: avoid dark shots and heavy glare.
- Full outline: don’t crop important edges (fins/leaves/shape).
- More than one angle: a second photo often fixes ambiguity.
Use a quick “sanity check” before you accept a result
If the top result looks close but not exact, compare 2–3 obvious features (shape, pattern, key parts) before deciding. This takes seconds and saves time later.
Make it a habit (small routine)
Save your best photo, keep your notes short, and repeat. Small consistency beats “perfect” effort.
